Waiting for a traffic light on March 8, 2007 I saw this beautiful light, much changed at this location, Wilhelminaplein towards the Erasmus Bridge …

During the same photowalk from yesterday I shot one of the other bridges over the river Maas, the Erasmusbrug. I like the tugboat in front of it all and the word “Rotterdam” on the lightpanel of the KPN building at the left. The Erasmusbrug was opened in 1996, is 284 meters long and 139 meters high. Because of the shape the nickname is “the Swan”. Its late now and nothing more to say then enjoy your weekend!

Greetings to you from Rotterdam

When I saw this on the Erasmus bridge I had to photograph it for this blog. Starting this blog and hoping to reach people over the world as they do with their blog is the goal, so this message  is for you!

This morning at work I witness this beautiful sunrise over two of our cities most protruding landmarks and our river the Maas. First the Erasmusbrug, completed in 1996 and connecting north and south of Rotterdam. Second, the building Rotterdam (the three towers), completed in 2013 with offices, appartments and a hotel. And last but not least, the river Maas flowing from France to the North Sea.
